Share Your Expertise With Carnegie Mellon's Student-Athletes

Carnegie Mellon student-athlete alumni are critical to the success of our intercollegiate athletics program. Over the years, former Tartans have given of their time, talent and treasure to lay a foundation for our program to become one of the most competitive within Division III.

The Carnegie Mellon Student-Athlete Alumni Mentoring Program will provide a new and exciting opportunity for former student-athletes to connect with current Tartans. Our student-athletes are excelling academically, athletically and making an impact in the community. Last year, their cumulative GPA was 3.33.

In the development phase of this mentoring program, our student-athletes were clear in their desire to connect with our talented alumni base and to have the opportunity to learn about various aspects of the professional world from those who have worn plaid before them. They hope to develop meaningful relationships that will play a pivotal role in their preparation for their professional lives.

The program is set up to help match student-athletes and student-athlete alumni, and then facilitate communication between you both for six months. The hope is that the relationships will continue past the formal structure. Mentors will have the opportunity to engage with two student-athletes at any given time.

As mentors, you will have the chance to offer our student-athletes a lens into your experiences as Tartans and as professionals. Thank you for your commitment.
